This is a quick post from my friend Gina’s laptop – I am visiting her bookstore because I can’t go home right now, because earlier today a SWAT team evacuated my entire neighborhood because of some standoff with police. They didn’t say it was a hostage standoff, which is good, but then I guess that means there is a guy holed up in his house with a gun and threatened to use it and now.. well, we know how those things end, right?
Le sigh.
At least Elise and I are safe tonight, displaced but safe. Til tomorrow,
